Instructions
From kit to report.
Follow these seven steps to ensure your saliva sample reaches our lab in optimal condition. The whole process takes under 10 minutes at home — analysis and clinical review do the rest.
Register your kit
Activate the unique barcode on your collection tube at premiersportsgenetics.com/activate before providing your sample. Unregistered kits cannot be processed.
Prepare
Do not eat, drink, smoke, chew gum or brush your teeth for 30 minutes before collection. Rinse your mouth with water 5 minutes prior.
Provide your sample
Remove the sterile swab from its wrapper without touching the tip. Swish saliva around your mouth for a few seconds, then firmly rub the swab against the inside of both cheeks, under the tongue and along the gums for 60 seconds in total.
Seal the swab
Place the swab head-first into the collection tube containing the stabilising buffer, snap the handle at the score line, and screw the cap on firmly. Invert the tube 5 times to mix.
Package the sample
Place the sealed tube inside the biohazard bag, then into the pre-addressed return box. Ensure the barcode is visible and the box is fully closed.
Return your kit
Drop the box at any Royal Mail post box using the pre-paid label included. Samples are stable at room temperature for up to 14 days in transit.
Receive your report
Your genomic report is reviewed by registered geneticists and released through the secure portal within 4–6 weeks of the lab receiving your sample.
